Anmol, Shamvavi, Nupur and other participants are hearing impaired children. These special kids, when performed ‘Saraswati Vandana’ on the stage, everyone were astonished watching their changing body movements and expressions. Even SSP-Shalav Mathur couldn’t restrain himself from clapping and appreciating their talent. These students from Jyoti Badhir Vidyalaya, Bithoor, are the disciples of well known dancer Mrs. Vandana Debroy. The group of these 18 children also performed spells bound performance on ‘Satyameo Jayate’ at Phool Bagh, Kanpur on the occasion of ‘Jagaran Connection’.

The last day celebration of 5 days event ’Brand Kanpur Mahotsav’ was held on Monday dt.22/12/2014 at Motijheel, Kanpur. The spell bound dance performance by the special student of Jyoti Badhir Vidyalay compelled the spectators for long clapping. On this occasion Prof. Abhishek Mishra-honorable minister for vocational education & skill development, Shri Yaseer Shah-honorable energy minister for state, and MLA Shri Sangram Singh Yadav honored 16 Sponsors and media workers. Rupees 1.11lacs was given to the children of Jyoti Badhir School for financial help.

On the occasion of ‘World Handicapped Day’ th.e city witnessed the several events held in the city. Honorable D.M(Dr.)Roshan Jacob inaugurated the programme organized by Handicapped Association All India and the city administration. In Jyoti Badhir Vidyalaya, Bithoor, a Sports Competition was held in the school and with 32 gold, 19 silver and 13 bronze medals Jyoti Badhir Vidyalaya, Bithoor, acquired 425 points.

Representative from different countries visited Jyoti Badhir Vidyalaya.

Kanpur | Johnson Matthey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., under took a plantation programme in the premises of Jyoti Badhir Vidyalaya. On the occasion, 25 representatives from various countries, associated with multinational company Johnson Matthey, visited the school and benefitted to the deaf students by sharing their experiences in respect of, high quality production and safety, while working with them in vocational training workplaces. Guests from foreign countries also appreciated the educative and commercial activities of the school and assured to provide with all possible supports for the all round development of the hearing impaired children. During the visit, Ramesh Chandra Dixit, Principal and teachers were presented.

10th to 14th September, 2014,Tournament and Quiz Competition

National level athletic tournament for the deaf held at Neta Ji Subhash Sports Complex, Gandhi Nagar, (Gujrat) from 10th to 14th September, 2014. Our 15 students participated in the tournament and won 03Gold 01 Silver and 05 Bronze medals.

Our school participated in Quiz Competition ‘Quest X’ on 07/02/2015, at Ramkrishna Mission Hall, Khar West, Mumbai on invitation of ‘DEEDS’ a Public Charitable Trust which serves the community of deaf. In the competition, our team consisting of Akash Sachan, Ankit Gupta, Shreyansh Goel and headed by teacher Shri. Deep Narayan Rai won 2nd. Runner up Trophy.

On 08/02/2015,Art Competition by the K.D.M.A. International School

Our school participated in the Art Competition, jointly organized by the K.D.M.A. International School, Kanpur and ‘Daily Amar Ujala’ under ‘Abhivyakti 2015’. Shaillendra Rajpoot and Rahul Sachan from our School won 3rd. and Consolation prizes in the competition respectively out of 30 participants from our school. Total participating schools were 29 and participants from ‘Deaf’ Community were 45.Our ex-student Aftab Alam declared 1st. in the competition.

On 10/02/2015,Quiz Competition

A quiz competition was organized, under joint sponsorship of Round Table125 & Ladies Circle 88, in the premises of our school. Students from Surrounding schools i.e. R.T.Gayaprasad J.H. School, R.T. Sarvesad Guru Gazipur, R.T. Phool Singh Memorial etc. also participated in the competition. Participating students from our school were, Madhav Rastogi, Sumit Kushwaha, Kuldeep Gupta & Shreyansh Goel. Our school was declared 2nd. Runner up.
