Welcome to JYOTI BADHIR VIDHYALAYA,
Jyoti Badhir Vidyalaya under Jyoti Bal Vikas Sanstha started operations in a 2 bedroom rented flat by Late Dr. Saryu Narayan Dixit in Kakadeo, Kanpur in July 1990.
The Sanstha purchased 3.5 acre land near River Ganges in Bithoor in 1991, construction of 6 class rooms, administrative block and boundary wall was completed by 1993.
79 deaf and dumb students were enrolled under District Basic Education Board by 1996, subsequently 2 sets of group hearing aids with special furniture were procured.

Late Saryu N. Dixit is the founder of Jyoti Children’s Development Foundation. He was a professor at Northwestern University, Chicago since 1982 and was the Professor at Emeritus. Dr. Saryu was born in the District of Kanpur, UP, India.
